Last night saw the CFDA Awards in New York. For those not quite up to scratch with the fashion awards season , it can be hard to figure quite what's being celebrated/ rewarded as our eyes are transfixed on the red carpet images rather than the attendees receiving their awards.

VS model Alessandra Ambrosio looked stunning in her flowing red gown. The cut out detail for me adds a little something to what would otherwise be classed as yet another 'average' gown.

| An avid Olsen Twins fan, i love their effortless take on fashion and the fact they never really seem to follow a 'trend'. I'll admit i'm not a major fan of either look as i think they're dressing way beyond their years but the satchel-esque bags get my nod of approval. |

| Miranda Kerr looks absolutely gorgeous in this Michael Kors black gown. The black colouring ensure's it looks chic but the cut out & metal detailing add an edge. My best dressed of the evening simply because the dress, the accessories and the hair all work perfectly together. |
Both Jessica Alba and model Chanel Iman rocked the trend of the season : Colour.
Miss Alba was glowing in a gucci inspired dress whilst Chanel worked a Turq gown with a slit and cut outs, which seemed to be a trend the Victorias Secret models were all working in someway or another.
