As Lakme fashion week continues, the star of india are starting to come out in force. Not always know for their off screen fashion choices i must admit a few of the ladies have looked rather lovely. The obvious candidate for fashion week style icon would have to be Sonaam Kapoor. The actress has been wowing those around her (and across the globe) with her high fashion look. Something relatively new to the indian film industries circuit. But some other ladies have popped up fighting for their place on those best dressed lists.

My favourite Shetty Sister, Shamita makes a statement in this pink dress. I like how the subtle sleeve detail turns it from an ordinary dress into something a bit more fashion forward. Personally i think a bright shoe would've given her an 'on trend' look, but i do like that cute box clutch.

I would love for the attendees of Lakme Fashion Week to be a bit more individual & fashion forward like those attending the respective weeks in London, Paris etc. Maybe Sonam Kapoor's high fashion looks will have more an impact on the scene in the coming 12 months?
