LBD ...

Zara Dress & Boots - Ebay Clutch

It's been a good while since the last post, and though i've been trying to keep pinterest and the old Insta page updated i've yet again fallen into the naughty blogger list. Between work & some personal things needing to be sorted the old blog has been neglected, but i've got a few outfits ready & lined up to be posted. I'm also in the middle of yet another wardrobe re-haul so do come follow me on Instagram!

This was just a simple LBD loo for a night out with the roomie. I added a bit of twist with some lace ankle socks and the oversized clutch, but didn't over accessorise as i wanted a really classic look. This dress fit amazingly, but was stolen from my cousin who tends to have fabulous pieces laying around her room. I do think that Zara are one of the best for classic/timeless items & have my next trip planned.

As always thanks for the patience with my lazy blogging behind, Roll on the next few weeks of updates galore. You'll soon be sick of me haha.

Let It Go ...

             Shirt -  Miss Selfridge
       Shorts -  New Look

A weekend filled with Business planning saw an alcohol free Saturday night. Instead we headed off for dinner and a trip to see Wolf Of Wall Street, which I can't stop raving about. For someone with the attention span of a child let loose in a sweet shop I loved all 3 hours of it!

2013 - The year that was...

Jumping on the old wagon & throwing out a post of most of the looks I rocked during 2013. As you can probably see from the below, I don't really have a 'look'. I tend to buy things if I like them and usually rock a trend about 4months after everyone has worn it to death, but then I'm a believer in the fact that you look best when you're comfortable.

Work post Christmas break has been beyond a nightmare and so between that, throwing myself into the gym & personal ventures to get sorted it's more than a tad busy. But bear with, 2014 is set to be a busy old year on all things blog/Instagram :)

Midnight Memories ...

Topman Denim Shirt - Topshop Tights - Missguided Leather Shorts - Glamorous Cami
The build up the christmas 2013 has been a lot busier than i'd expected but with santa due in to drop off those pressies in a matter of days it's time to get the party hat on, & enjoy the last few drinks of 2013. What was meant to be a glass of wine turned into a full on night of shots, shots and erm more shots, whoops. With the weather taking a real turn for the worse it the tights came out to play. Patterned tights are a sure fire way to inject some life into an otherwise 'basic' look. These cute heart suspender tights are from Topshop & they do have a great selection which is worth a peak.

Got a couple more posts lined up before 2014 kicks into gear, and this time i promise to actually press upload! Lots of festive love to you all!

Snap Out Of It ...

Jumper : River Island - Trousers :Asos - Bag : Celine
Lipstick : Collection2000 'Scorned'

My love for all things navy and goth'esque has near enough taken over my festive wishlists. Between the dark lipsticks on offer from various outlets all the way through to this particularly blue outfit , it's safe to say that 1 hue will be playing a large part in my look as we head into a new year.
A printed trouser is for me a must have on any wardrobe and this piece from Asos is pretty much perfect. Teamed with the AW fav of the fluffly jumper and a certain handbag purchased by the aunty i was ready to face the 1st official festive weekend.

One For The Road ...

River Island Tee - Glamorous Skirt from Asos - Daisy Street Wedges - Topshop Necklace -
Casio Watch - Ebay Silver Cuffs

As the winter weather makes it's presence known i seem to be opting for layers & more 'season appropriate' outfits. For a night-out with the roomie i went for this Tee from River Island using jewels, big heels and mass lashes to add a dressy edge to an otherwise casual 'look'.
I am loving River Island this A/W and think their collections have been upon some of the best on the high street this season. Roll on New Year and those cheeky sales!

Give Me Love ...

Cropped Polo - Topshop Skirt - JC Reps  - Asos Faux Fur

Another weekend another night out and yep another outfit. I decided to finally get my fringe chopped back in after realising  really don't enjoy my face minus the option to hide behind a mass of hair. I used the new loreal home ombre kit to re-do my mane the other week and it was not as harsh as i'd thought, a few weeks of treatments and general love await before i try and make it a little lighter at the tips.
The outfit combined my love of black with a couple of new pieces i've picked up recently, the skirt is a a great take on the classic skater skirt, i love the way it's still classic but the embellished work on the fabric gives it a twist. Think this will be abused this festive season! The top was bargain buy from a random shop but they have some great ones on FDAvenue.com ( remember to use Mandeep15 at the checkout to grab 15% off your order), i'm loving the cropped styles seen everywhere at the mo and coupled with my obsession with a high-waisted item i think this could be a staple style this A/W...obviously i'll be teaming this with my fur items, as otherwise i think i'd freeze to death.

Sorry the pics aren't great this week, my camera decided to fail on me just at the time of shooting, then i was already running late so i had to re-shoot the full length ones today. Next time i'll check the camera BEFORE i tart myself up. Got lots of exciting bits coming up over the coming weeks so expect more posts and more insights into my little old life. Personally things are a bit 'make or break' atm but i'm holding hope everything works out & being able to throw myself into fashion has definitely helped.
Big hugs guys and remember to abuse the code ;)

Royals...

Playsuit - Love our Love

With the weather taking a serious turn to remind us that summers officially over my love for all tones dark and muted can take over my wardrobe once again. This little playsuit is from Asos and it's probably one of my favourite recent purchases. I opted for a bare legged look on a recent night into london town but will be rocking this with a pair of thick tights and ankle boots for daytime shopping/coffee dates. I love the fact that it's a still a light floral print but because the tones are darker than the usual floral pieces around it's got a bit of a 'gothic' edge to it.

I've Got My Eyes On You New ...

Blouse *borrowed from the housemate* - Topshop Leather Shorts & Socks -
New Look Boots

A casual date turned into a rather heavy night-out ( pretty standard in this house) and with it being part of my last week 'pre fitness/diet challenge' we made sure it was a night to remember.  I opted for my trusty leather shorts and borrowed this nude tone shirt from my housemate, teaming it with some printed boots. I also wanted to keep jewels simple pre A/W layering, which will definitely see jewels aplenty!

This year has been full of change & it's fair amount of stress but i think everything's finally working out *touches wood. With my holidays finally booked, weekend dates planned, wardrobe cleared awaiting newbies for A/W & some new ventures in the pipeline, it's now time for me to step up the fitness and diet regime. I tend to Tweet, instagram and pinterest this side of my life rather than blogging about it, but if i reach my goal come the end of the 4 week challenge i will be sure to share my tips with you all.

Bit nervous about the last quarter of 2013 but i'm determined to start 2014 on the right foot. Who said 13 had to be an unlucky number eh?

Can't Hold Us ...

River Island Leather Gilet - Karma Clothing Navy Discos - Primark Pumps & Phone case
I love any excuse for a 3 day weekend and so when Friday popped along I was happy in the knowledge that I had 3 full days of no work * insert a happy dance here*. I opted for a simple look of leggings &a lot of black, all finished off with my trusty Primarni pumps ( which come in at a £4. Hello Bargain!). Saturday saw a few of us head down to SW4 to spy Armin and number of other fabulous dance DJs, though the constant downpour meant we spent the day soaked through, wine and a good crowd meant it really didn't phase us. Until the next day that was....
Back on the health trail as I have 2 mini breaks to look forward to and a number of birthdays. Right i'm off to spend my wages on a few new pieces ready for A/W party season!

National Anthem...

Inlovewithfashion Dress - Zara Taylor Necklace - Missguided Boots

On friday i ran out of work at lunchtime jumped in my car and set off up north to Liverpool for my lady @styleballarina's hen party take 2.  I knew i wanted to use the excuse to sport my new love dress and teamed it with the fabulously dangerous missguided spiked boots. I opted to keep the jewels simple (odd behaviour i know...) The necklace is from the amazingly talented Zara of ZaraTaylor.co.uk It's an actual working telescope which always provides a healthy amount of entertainment. She has a lot of quirky  pieces at decent prices so definitely check her site out!

Back to the Shire i went on Saturday for one of my ladies birthday bashes, so i have another new OOTD/OOTN to share with you all this week and as for a certain wedding? It's rolling around in mid August  so keep those eyes peeled for a picture heavy, romance filled post as my camera will be severely abused. I'm also working on a giveaway for all you fabulous followers..busy times ahead!
Enjoy the sunshine my loves!

Summertime Sadness ...

Tee - FD Avenue
Leggings - Karma Clothing
Plimsols - Primark

2 hours sleep meant I really couldn't be bothered on ' Dressed down Friday' to do anything with my hair, face and general attire. I opted for some Karma clothing goodies that meant comfort didn't leave my ' style' floating around in tracksuit land ( not that I even own one...oh well you get the jist). I never usually wear my hair up unless i'm in the gym but I actually kind of like it and will be trying out a quaffed/braided version of a ponytail style this weekend, with the help of the trusty roomie.

Even If I'm Dancing On My Own ...

ASOS Top - Topshop Skirt - DaisyStreet Wedges - Select Skull Clutch
Chester called for a Hen night and I was more than happy to oblige! Cocktails from Top Hats and laughs a aplenty meant a great night was had, and an epic roast courtesy of the roomies mother on our drive back down via Stoke was a life saver. I opted for a simple look with my trusty Topshop pencil skirt and Daisy street Wedges which I teamed with a simple metallic crop from Asos and these amazing lashes! They were tip from my cousin and are from Ebay, keep an eye out for a post in August all about these badboys as i'll be reviewing all styles purchased in one post. I've already used some of my paypal funds to bulk buy a number of these as they were super comfy and even upon removing them you could use them a few more times so definitely worth the spends.

Ending the night with the worlds best chicken burger I've now jumped back on the health wagon and will be getting meal prepping from today. Let the challenge continue...

Bang Bang ...

Old Menswear Shirt - Missguided Suspender Leggings - Topshop Belt -
DaisyStreet Wedges - Primark Necklace
Shoreditch was the chosen location for Saturday nights antics. With a lovely lady of ours living a stones throw away from the majority of the bars it ended up being a pretty easy night. Though our heads were not so happy come Sunday morning- Hi Headache Hi!  I decided to go for this menswear shirt and teamed it with some suspender leggings from Missguided and my new trusty birthday wedges from DaisyStreet. A simple and comfy look perfect for the night ahead. Throwing on the usual jewels and a gold buckled waist-belt added a bit of glam to the look.
After nearly 6 years I'm about to put my faith in a hairdresser and get my mane chopped and coloured by a pro. I'm finally happy with the length of my hair but it's not in the best condition ( doubt the self Ombre has helped). As per usual when it comes to my hair I'm pretty impatient so am hoping to get an appointment this weekend, fingers crossed I like what I end up with and won't have to spend the next 6 months with my hair shoved under a mass hat!

Pour It Up ....

Own The Runway Shirt - Kurt Geiger Heels
It's official, i'm obsessed with oversized blouses and this new purchase for OwnTheRunway has shot to the top of 'favs' list. I'm loving the Monochrome trend that's floating around and like the way this shirt works the trend but in a bit of an edge. I simply teamed it with some little leather shorts and skyscraper heels from KG. I clashed the print of the shirt with an oversized leopard print clutch, which added a bit of a twist to the look. Already starting on the Birthday wishlists and i can see a pattern forming..black,white,navy,grey...i know summer's meant to be on it's way but i can't seem to snap into loving colour atm.

Rolling With The Punches...

Love Our Love Skirt from  Asos -  Lace Bandeau - New Look Necklace -
- Primark Clutch - Select Heels - Arty Ring
With my love affair with all things high-waisted this skirt was like a dream come true. Scrolling through the pages of Asos I came across this Love our Love beauty and instantly needed it to join my collection of clothes. The canary yellow gives any outfit that pop of colour perfect for the summer months when an all black outfit ( my uniform) could come across a bit harsh. The material is thick enough to 'hold you' and actually assist in creating a shape instead of creating 100 more problems unlike the cheaper thinner varieties. I decided to go for a neutral finish by reaming it with these nude heels which were a steal at £16 from Select and a lace bandeau top. The over sized new look necklace creates an impact as the rest of my jewels were quite understated. I'm looking forward to reaming this skirt with some 80's style oversized tee's during the course of summer.. if you have any links to any sites with some good options please share away!
My house is nearly finished ( with renovation/moving drams aplenty) and once that's complete I'll begin the mass eBay clear-out once more and have more time for more posts!

Another Love ...

Co-ord - Zara
Heels - Daisy Street

The annual birthday night-out / reunion came round last weekend and with it came the trawl for an outfit for the night. I'd seen this Zara combo a couple of months back but the bomber jacket, if i'm honest, was my main wish-list addition. I tried on the 'set' and really liked how it was a more relaxed overall look but still not too dressed down. I think the bright print against the dark hue of the black, alongside the fabric choice, is what really gives it it's edge. Granted it's not the cheapest of outfits but at the same time i know i'll utilise the shorts and bomber separately. The wedges were a birthday treat from DaisyStreet and were super comfy!
